MedSecurance project launches with Brussels kick-off meeting 19-20 January
The MedSecurance consortium partners came together for the first full project meeting on 19-20 January hosted by the The Open Group in Brussels. Each of the research and development partners introduced the technologies they bring to the project for developing the security and assurance methods, tools, and techniques for improving the security and safety assurance of connected medical devices, or Internet of Medical Things (IoMT). In addition, the five industrial Use Case partners described the medical devices and hospital systems and needed improvements for security and increased assurance when deploying IoMT for their respective care and services environments. The meeting also addressed the planning of the first deliverables focused on analysing and modelling of medical device architectures and infrastructures, threat vulnerability risk analysis methods, as well as describing and prioritising the detailed industrial requirements from industrial devices and care providing organisations that will drive the research and development in the project that will be carried out over the next three years.
