As the MedSecurance project enters its final phase, the consortium gathered for one last in-person meeting on 18–19 November 2025, hosted by the University of Warwick at the Scarman Warwick Conference Centre. This final gathering marked a key milestone, offering partners an opportunity to consolidate progress, finalise deliverables, and prepare for the project's conclusion.

Over the course of two days, partners reviewed the preliminary results of the project’s three medical use cases:

  • Portable PCR Testing (Stab Vida & Hospital Garcia de Orta)

  • Remote Patient Monitoring (BioAssist & Hygeia Hospital)

  • Virtual Ward (Doccla)

Each team presented completed scenarios, discussed key performance indicators, and identified final actions to complete the validation work. These evaluations will form the basis for Deliverable D4.5: Final Medical Use Case Evaluations, to be submitted in December.

The meeting also included updates from technical partners on the final refinements of the MedSecurance Toolbox, with demonstrations and feedback sessions on tools such as:

  • The IoMT Modelling Tool

  • The IoMT Communications Recommendation Tool

  • The Threat, Vulnerability & Risk Analysis Tool (TVRA)

  • The Assurance Tool

  • The Security-Level Contract Tool

  • The Modelling and Ontologies Tool

Attention was also given to the integration status of the MedSecurance Platform, as well as the upcoming policy recommendations and dissemination plans. Discussions on deliverables such as D5.6 (MDCG Recommendations), D5.5 (Final Dissemination and Use Plan), and D6.3 (Data Management Plan Update) helped ensure alignment on the final documentation and reporting requirements.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the University of Warwick and the local MedSecurance team for their excellent hosting and support. The productive and collaborative spirit of this meeting was a fitting close to nearly three years of joint work across research, healthcare, and technology partners.

What’s Next?

While this was our final physical meeting, the work doesn’t stop here. We are excited to announce an upcoming webinar series, where we will present the outcomes, tools, and insights generated by the MedSecurance project. These webinars will offer an opportunity for stakeholders, practitioners, and policymakers to explore the practical value and impact of our work in advancing IoMT cybersecurity and digital health assurance.

Stay tuned for announcements and registration details through our website and social media channels.

Thank you to all our partners for your commitment and collaboration throughout the project. Together, we've taken important steps toward a more secure and trustworthy digital health future.
