Hygeia Hospital is proud to participate in the EU-funded MedSecurance project (Horizon Europe 101095448), a groundbreaking initiative advancing cybersecurity for connected medical devices (IoMT).
As Greece’s first JCI-accredited private hospital, Hygeia is committed to excellence, patient safety, and innovation. Within MedSecurance, Hygeia provides a real-world clinical environment to test and validate novel methodologies, infrastructures, and technologies for secure system engineering in healthcare.
Our role focuses on:
Clinical Use Cases: Providing real-world hospital settings to test MedSecurance solutions, with a focus on remote patient monitoring (e.g., wearable and home devices). These scenarios enable the assessment of cybersecurity risks in everyday clinical workflows.
Clinical Relevance & Compliance: Ensuring that developed tools are not only technically robust but also aligned with hospital protocols, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards guaranteeing seamless integration into clinical practice.
Evaluation of the Toolbox: Validating the MedSecurance cybersecurity toolbox in a live healthcare environment, assessing its capacity to detect, mitigate, and prevent IoMT-related risks while ensuring resilience, operational continuity, and trust in digital health solutions.
By joining forces with leading European partners, Hygeia contributes to shaping a safer digital healthcare future where cybersecurity is an integral part of patient care.
